VOLUNTEER
Crisis advocates must complete an RCMP security clearance which takes approximately 6 months to complete. During this time of waiting for clearance, one completes a 35 module training program provided by the Alberta Justice and Solicitor General.
Once completed and a successful clearance has been granted, a six month mentorship program with a team lead helps to prepare our crisis advocates for every situation they will encounter. From Domestic Violence, Homicide, Suicide, Sudden Death, Fire in the home, child abuse, sexual assault, home invasion, robbery, and vehicle accidents we are ready to respond within 15 minutes of when the RCMP call us.
